By their fruits shall ye know them

Speaking to some of the scientists last week, I found out that a recognised method to identify plants is using 'Gestalt' - just like we know that a dog is a dog, no matter how different they can look (and without being able to tell exactly how we know), we have the same facility with plants. So, some botanists mainly use the lists that specify the characteristics of each plant to pinpoint a genus for a species, but some use gestalt.

Johanna has stopped photographing and started to model from the fruit, thinking about their defining similarities and differences, the seriality of shape.
